6.0mm / US 10 dpn or circular needle

CO 28 sts. Place marker to denote start of round
*K1,P1* repeat to end of round
Continue in ribbing for 4in
Change to stocking stitch. Increase 1 st at the end of the round. (29sts)
THUMB GUSSET
Knit across 14 sts, PM, MIL, k1, MIR, pm
Knit 1 row even
Inc 2 sts inside gusset markers every 3 rounds (3 times). Total gusset sts 9
On next round, place gusset stitches on waste yarn. Using backward loop method, CO 1st over gap let by gusset sts.and knit to end of round (29sts remain).
Work until piece measures to top of little finger.
DECREASE ROUNDS
R1: Knit across round, k2tog on last 2 sts (28sts)
R2: *K5, k2tog* repeat to end of round (24 sts)
R3: Knit across all sts
R4: *k4,k2tog* repeat to end of round (20 sts)
R5: Knit across all sts
R6: *k3,k2tog* repeat to end of round (16 sts)
R7: Knit across all sts
R8: *k2, k2tog* (12sts)
R9: *k1, k2tog* (8sts)
R10: *k2tog* (4sts)
Break yarn, pull through remaining sts. Weave in ends
THUMB
Place sts on waste yarn on 3 dpn and pick up and knit 1 st over gap (10sts)
Work in round until thumb measures middle of thumbnail.
R1: *k2tog,k2* 2 times (8sts)
R2: knit
R3: *k2tog* repeat (4sts)
Cut yarn, pull through remaining sts. Weave in ends
