I started knitting this hat on a gloomy October day.. I wanted something bright, cheerful and delicious. This yarn had been whispering my name ever so gently for some time. I thought this could be a great hat to match my pink curling shoes. A girl’s gotta look sharp on the ice

Yarn: Artyarns Rhapsody Glitter light
Needle Size: 4.5mm or US 7 circular 16″
Guage: 20sts = 4in in st st
Directions:
With yarn held double, cast On 100 sts
Work in 2×2 rib for 2 inches
Work in pattern stitch (see below) for 3.5 inches
Knit for 1.5 inches
Begin Decrease Rounds:
1: *K8,k2tog*, repeat to end of round
2: Knit
3: *K7,k2tog*, repeat to end of round
4. Knit
5. *K6, k2tog*, repeat to end of round
6. Knit
7. *K5, k2tog*, repeat to end of round
8. Knit
9. K4, k2tog*, repeat to end of round
10. K3, K2tog*, repeat to end of round
11. *K2, K2tog*, repeat to end of round
12. *K1, k2tog*, repeat to end of round
13. *K2tog*, repeat to end of round
Cut yarn, pull through remaining sts. Weave in ends
Pattern Stitch:
Row 1: *YO, K2tog, P2* repeat to end of round
Row 2: *K2,P2* repeat to end of round
Row 3: *K2tog, YO, P2* repeat to end of round
Row 4: *K2,P2* repeat to end of round
