A cozy hat to keep you warm on those snowy chilly days.
Needles: 5mm, US 8 16” circular needles
Yarn : 2 skeins of Royal Alpaca from Illimani Yarn
Directions :
Cast On 80 using 2 strands of yarn
Ribbed Section : *K2,P2* repeat to end of round. Continue ribbing for 2 inches
Body :
Round 1 : P2, K4, p2, k6, p2, k4, p2, knit to end of round, repeat for 5 rounds
Round 6 : P2, C4F, P2, C6B,P2, C4B, P2 knit to end of round
Repeat rounds 1-6 until hat measure 7 inches from cast on edge
Decreases :
Round 1 : *K8,k2tog* repeat to end of round, 70 sts rem
Round 2 : Knit all even rows
Round 3 : *K7, k2tog* repeat to end of round, 60 sts rem
Round 5 : *K6, k2tog* repeat to end of round, 50 sts rem
Round 7: *K5, k2tog* repeat to end of round, 40 sts rem
Round 9 : *k4, k2tog* repeat to end of round, 30 sts rem
Round 11 : *k3, k2tog* repeat to end of round, 20, sts rem
Round 13 : k2, k2tog* repeat to end of round, 10 sts rem
Cut yarn, pull through remaining sts. Weave in ends
